Thank you for joining our Blog Spot called Energy Concepts News! As we mentioned in November’s blog, we have a few new ideas to implement this year. So, this will be a rather long blog outlining a summary of our plans.
Office Hours: We will continue to be open on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10am to 6pm. We may extend hours to Friday as needed by appointment only. We wish we could be there on a daily basis, but our other employment does not allow.
Phone Messages: There will be times, even during office hours that we cannot answer the phone, so please leave a detailed message so we can return your call quickly and better help you. Thank you for understanding that we cannot answer questions on the phone as we have clients with appointments waiting. Phone messages are for product needs, to make appointments or to answer brief questions about classes. Remember our Question & Answer classes, emails, phone consultations or Quick-Check appointments are available to answer your personal health questions.
Product Availability: This has been a difficult transition to make. Again we appreciate your understanding. Below are the reasons we have significantly reduced product sales.
1. We desire to be a health building practice focused on education, not a retail business.
2. We advocate correct nutrition and adequate digestion as the foundation to optimal health, not supplementation.
3. It is a sales tax nightmare!
4. We expect personal responsibility for personal health. Just as we do not grocery shop for correct foods for our clients, it should be a personal responsibility to obtain the correct products or supplements.
We have made this as easy as possible by providing a “Natural Health Shopping Guide” which provides sources to purchase products. This shopping guide is available on our web site in the Members’ Only section. (if you are a member and do not know the user i.d. and password, please contact us). You may find better product sources. If so, please let us know so we may share it with others.
Any exceptions to providing product to clients will be per our discretion such as new clients who have an urgent need to start certain products right away. Also, some clients do not have internet access or other hardships to obtaining products for whom we will try to accommodate.
The other exceptions are Miracle II Soap Products and Loomis Enzymes which we will continue to carry as those require a distributorship and/or licensed professional and are not easily available to the public. Occasionally, we will have one pound bags of bulk gelatin when we can get them from Seymour.
We are not able to keep our shelves stocked full. So, if possible, PLEASE LET US KNOW what enzymes you need before you come by to pick them up. We want to save you the trip in case we do not have what you need. We can order them and have them in by our next office day. If you can let us know when you plan to come by we will hold them for you.
Classes: Classes will continue to be every Tuesday evening 6-8pm. Please refer to our web site to view the 2011 dates for classes. We will begin repeating “The Truth About” classes in May.
A reminder to some -the class fee on the first Tuesday of each month is $10. This applies to the remaining Building Block Classes and upcoming Truth About Classes. These topics are much more content heavy with greater preparation as well as presentation.
The 2nd – 4th Tuesday classes will continue as before, alternating Question & Answer with a Basic Why & How class. The fee will remain $5.
Question & Answer classes: Starting in February there will be a brief discussion on a particular topic for the first 45 minutes of each Q&A class. There will not be a power point, but handouts, marker board and instruction will be utilized. The chosen topic will be announced in Energy Concepts News the month prior. For example, Feb. 8th will be on aspirin and Feb. 22nd will be on sugar. Some other upcoming topics will include caffeine, amylase, alpha lapoic acid, imagery, and more.
The Fifth Tuesday (there will be four this year) will also be a special teaching presentation. This class fee will be $10 and topics will be “Love Your Liver”, “Holistic Weight Management”, “Cooking Class” and “Be Your Own Doctor”. This blog spot will keep you informed of what topics will be presented and when.
Frequent Learner Cards: We need to make two small changes with these cards. One star per class will apply to all classes and the card cannot be redeemed at classes on the first or fifth Tuesday of each month.
Quarterly Newsletter: We hope to have a teaching newsletter available each quarter this year that will be informative and helpful to our clients. There will be a small subscription fee of $5 for each newsletter.
Cookbook: Please contribute to the making of our “Against the Grain” cookbook. All recipes will emphasize the use of saturated fat (butter, coconut oil), grass fed meats, sea salt, real sugar, real baking powder and other whole natural ingredients, fitting to our own Anti-Inflammatory Eating Plan and Food Guide Pyramid. This will be a teaching cookbook with explanations for the selected recipes which will not contain hybrid grains, seeds, nuts, beans or vegetable oils. Please share your favorite recipes with us! We look forward to this venture that will be useful and fun for all!
Thank you for reading this lengthy letter! We hope you are looking forward to learning important truths about your body and how to have good health in 2011!
